01 What we collect
You give us
- Name, phone number, email, pickup address. Required to dispatch a driver and text you updates.
- Pickup details: number of items, return type (QR or label), pickup window, drop method, optional notes (e.g. "gate code 1234").
- Return info: the QR screenshot you upload, or the Amazon label email you forward to your one-time inbox.
- Payment info: the Zelle handle (your phone or email) you pay from. We do not see or store your bank credentials.
- Optional: ratings, comments, and tips you leave through our feedback flow.
We collect automatically
- Photos taken at pickup by our driver (see §5).
- UPS receipts photographed by our driver.
- Device + browser info for security and analytics: IP address, user agent, referrer.
We do not collect: your Social Security number, credit card number, government ID, biometrics, or precise GPS location of your device.
02 How we use it
| Purpose | Data |
|---|---|
| Dispatch a driver to your address | Name, phone, address, pickup window, items, notes |
| Send pickup status SMS / email | Phone, email, order # |
| Match your Zelle payment to your order | Name, phone, payment method, memo |
| Drop your items at UPS using your label | Return info (QR / label PDF) |
| Send you the UPS receipt and tracking # | Phone |
| Customer support & dispute resolution | Order history, photos, comms log |
| Fraud prevention (e.g. duplicate or fake labels) | Order data + IP / device info |
| Improve the service | Aggregated, de-identified data only |
03 Who we share with
We share only what's strictly required with each party:
- Your assigned driver sees your name, phone, pickup address, items count, drop method, and your notes. They do not see your email or other order history.
- UPS sees the package and the label/QR you provided — we don't share any of your contact info with UPS.
- Service providers we use to run Asnap: Twilio (SMS), Postmark (email), AWS (file storage), Stripe / Zelle infrastructure (payments). These vendors are contractually limited to processing data on our behalf.
- Law enforcement only when required by valid legal process (subpoena, warrant, court order). We will notify you unless legally prohibited.
- Acquirer in the event of a merger or acquisition. We'll notify you and offer a deletion option.
We do not sell your personal information. We do not share data with advertisers, data brokers, or third parties for cross-context behavioral advertising.
04 SMS & email communications
By booking a pickup you opt in to receive transactional SMS from us — booking confirmations, Zelle payment requests, driver-arrived alerts, UPS receipts, and exception notifications. We do not send marketing SMS without separate, explicit opt-in.
Standard message and data rates may apply (per your wireless carrier). To stop receiving SMS, reply STOP to any text. To get help, reply HELP. Full SMS terms: SMS Consent.
Email: we send service-related email (booking, receipt, refund) by default. Marketing email is opt-in only and you can unsubscribe from any marketing email at any time.
05 Photos taken at pickup
For "Leave at door" pickups, our driver photographs the items as they pick up. The photo is used as proof of pickup in case of disputes (item count, condition, location).
- Photos are linked to your order and stored encrypted in our admin system.
- Auto-deleted 30 days after pickup completes, unless a claim is open in which case retained until resolved.
- Photos are not used for training models, advertising, or sharing.
- You can request earlier deletion by emailing [email protected].
For "Meet the driver" pickups, our driver captures your signature on a touchscreen as proof of handoff, treated the same way.
06 Cookies & analytics
We use a small number of essential cookies to keep you signed in to your order page and remember your preferred pickup window. We use a privacy-respecting analytics tool (currently Plausible) that doesn't use cookies, doesn't track you across sites, and stores aggregate data only.
We do not use Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, or any cross-site tracking pixels.
07 How long we keep your data
| Data type | Retention |
|---|---|
| Pickup photos & signatures | 30 days after pickup (longer if claim open) |
| One-time pickup inboxes ([email protected]) | 7 days after order completes, then permanently deleted |
| Order records (name, address, items, payment) | 7 years — required for tax & bookkeeping |
| SMS / email logs | 2 years for support & dispute resolution |
| Account-level deletion request | Honored within 30 days; some records redacted to financial-trace minimum |
